Yellow Submarine 是 Beatles 1966 年的作品。

我看著黃黃的照片，心想如果要幫牠取個英文名字，有什麼黃色的聯想。就想起這首歌：

In the town where I was born, lived a man who sailed to sea, 

And he told us of his life, in the land of submarines, 

So we sailed on to the sun, till we found the sea of green,

And we lived beneath the waves, in our yellow submarine,

We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine,
We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine. 

And our friends are all aboard. Many more of them live next door.

And the band begins to play......

As we live a life of ease, every one of us has all we need,

Sky of blue, and sea green, in our yellow submarine.

這首歌在 1968 年收錄於一部動畫電影 Yellow Submarine。

故事發生在深海裡的 Pepperland，一群痛恨音樂的Blue Meanies入侵，讓Pepperland失去色彩和音樂，於是其中一個胡椒人駕著黃色潛水艇逃出去，到英國找 Beatles 來幫忙對抗Blue Meanies。在回航的路上，他們經過了幾個奇特的海域：時間海、科學海、怪物海、虛無海、地洞海，最後，他們以 LOVE 打敗Blue Meanies，重新過著快樂幸福又充滿音樂的生活。

而1969年，Beatles 出了一張專輯就叫Yellow Submarine的專輯。

這一年也是葉維廉將〈中國現代詩的語言問題〉改寫成中文版的一年，我的論文研究主題。

2009年則是我在227巷電影之夜第一次觀賞這部動畫電影。
